the costume designer initially started a small department early for character exploration of an illustrator and myself. The tas at hand was working out what some of the lead characters would look like out of the comics in a way that honored their heritage but that felt grounded in a gritty reality that the Director envisioned. we did the early hair & makeup exploration as part of that until that dept started.
